Birth12 Feb 1906 Garland Franklin Clark was born on 12 Feb 1906 at Glade Spring in Washington County, Virginia.3,4 
  Garland was born in the old John Clark home fronting the Stage Rd. (present day Rt. 11) in Washington County. When Garland was 4 or 5 his father built a new home for the family to the east of the older structure. Garland, who did not marry, continued to live there as an adult, helping run the family farm (later in life he lived with his widowed uncle Ray Clark). Garland also worked as a US rural mail carrier and was a member of Glade Spring Presbyterian Church. 
Death7 Oct 1970 He died on 7 Oct 1970 at age 64.3,4 
Burial Garland was buried in the Charles A. Clark square at Old Glade Spring Cemetery in Virginia.4
