Birth12 Mar 1841 Harvey Snead Robinson was born on 12 Mar 1841 in Washington County, Virginia.5,6 
Military6 May 1862 On 6 May 1862 Harvey enlisted in Co. F. of the 63rd Virginia Regiment of the Confederate Army. Initially a private, by the summer of 1863 he held the rank of 5th Sergeant. The company muster roll dated 2 Nov. 1863 notes that Harvey had been sick at the hospital since Oct. 27th. He recovered and by early 1864 had returned to Company F. However he again fell ill and on May 20, 1864 was admitted to the hospital at Forsyth, Georgia where he was still confined at the end of August. Harvey recovered a second time, only to be captured by Union troops on April 16, 1865.7 
Marriage12 Apr 1877 He married Jean Kelly, daughter of John Kelly and Elizabeth Buchanan, on 12 Apr 1877.2,8 
Cens-18801880  Following their marriage Harvey and Jean established their own household in Washington County where they were enumerated adjacent to Harvey's mother and brother "Smith" Robinson in 1880. Smith was employed as a shoemaker, but Harvey was a farmer, suggesting he may have been responsible for the Robinson farm.9 
Cens-19007 Jun 1900  Harvey and Jean lived in the Glade Spring District of Washington County. They did not have children. By 1900 Harvey was employed as a dry goods merchant. His brother "Smith" had died in 1897 following which Harvey and Jean shared a home with Harvey's mother Mary. A boarder, Frank Robinson, who worked as a carpenter was also part of the household, as was a servant who worked as a cook.6 
Death22 Jun 1915 Harvey died on 22 Jun 1915 at age 74.5,3 
Burial He was buried at Old Glade Spring Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.5
