d. circa 1792
| | John's name appears in records as both Robison (will), Robinson (estate inventory) and Robertson (survey and grant). |
Marriage | | John Robinson married Elizabeth (?). |
Will | 19 Nov 1791 | John wrote his will on 19 Nov. 1791. He left his personal property to his wife Elizabeth during her natural life and at her death it was to be divided among John's 4 children, whom he did not name. He appointed Elizabeth as his executrix. The will was witnessed by James Kincannon and Mathew Ryburn.2 |
Death | circa 1792 | John probably died in late 1791 or early 1792. An abstract of his will says it was written in Nov. 1791 and recorded in Feb. 1791 but the second date appears to be in error. |
Probate Recd | 4 Aug 1792 | John's estate was inventoried in the summer of 1792 by James Kincannon, Mathew Ryburn and John Stewart.1 |
| | Following John's death Elizabeth married, in 1794, Enoch Anderson.3 |
| 17 Nov 1795 | On Nov. 17th, 1795 Enoch and Elizabeth Anderson (noted to be the late widow and executrix of John Robertson dec'd) executed a deed to sell William Stewart 30 acres of land on the waters of Bakers Creek in Washington County for £15. The deed noted that John Robertson had executed a bond on 28 Oct. 1791 to sell the land to William Stewart. The tract bordered Daniel Perkins, David Beattie and John Porterfield. The land was granted to John Robertson on June 13, 1793.4 [which appears to be after his death] |
