Birth12 Jan 1832 Sarah Eliza Jane Jones was born on 12 Jan 1832 in Washington County, Virginia.1 
Fath-Death30 Oct 1833  She was the only girl among her parent's 7 children. Sarah's father died when she was slightly less than two years old. 
Migration  Sarah's mother remained on the family farm in Virginia for another 16 or 17 years and then migrated to western Tennessee with Sarah and her brothers Robert and James (3 older brothers were already deceased and brother William was serving as a soldier in the Oregon Territory).2  
Marriage3 Jul 1851 She married first Jefferson Greer on 3 Jul 1851 in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee.3,4 
  Sarah and Jefferson probably lived for a year of so in the Memphis area as their daughter Kate was born there on March 22, 1852. Earlier that year Sarah's brother William returned from Oregon. It is not known if he traveled through Tennessee, but his destination was Washington Co., Virginia where he married his cousin "Pink" Dunn on Jan. 15th, 1852. Pink died in a tragic accident off the coast of Texas on March 26th, just a few days after Sarah gave birth to Kate.

By March 1854 Sarah and Jefferson settled across the Mississippi in Crittenden County, Arkansas where a second daughter Mary was born in March 1854. Sarah's mother and brothers James and Robert also lived in Crittenden County. 
Widowed21 May 1855  On May 7th 1855 one year old Mary died. Two weeks later Sarah's husband Jefferson also died. 
Marriage She married second Major Reuben T. Redman.5 
Cens-186015 Jul 1860  Shortly after their marriage Reuben and Sarah were enumerated in Crittenden County with Sarah's daughter Kate Greer. Reuben's census entry indicates that he was a very successful farmer, owning land worth $71,000 and personal property worth $31,500.6 
  The couple had 4 children together before Sarah's death at age 37. 
Death23 Apr 1869 Sarah died on 23 Apr 1869 in Crittenden County, Arkansas.3 
Burial She was initially buried in Crittenden County, Arkansas. 
Reinterred1876 Sarah was reinterred in 1876 in a Jones family plot purchased by her brother Robert at Elmwood Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee.
