Childhood  Sarah, who was known as Lula, grew up on her parent's farm in the Goodson District of Washington County. She was the youngest of their 9 children.5 
Marriage23 Dec 1914 She married Ray Dunn Clark, son of Charles Alfred Clark and Florence Virginia Rosenbalm, on 23 Dec 1914 in Washington County, Virginia.2 
  They were second cousins, once removed, both being descendants of James Clark and Isabella Breckenridge. 
Cens-Sum  Ray and Lula, who did not have children, shared a home with Ray's parents. Like his father, Ray was a farmer and a skilled carpenter. Ray and his brother Claude built several homes in the Glade Spring community.6,7,8 
Death27 Jan 1952 Sara died on 27 Jan 1952 at age 66.3 
Burial She was buried in the Charles A. Clark square at Old Glade Spring Cemetery in Washington County.3
