Birth22 Feb 1816 Lorenzo Dow Leedy was born on 22 Feb 1816 in Virginia.1 
Marriage2 Jan 1840 He married Sarah Bibb on 2 Jan 1840 in Huntsville, Alabama.1 
  Lorenzo and Sarah appear to have had two children together in Alabama before moving to Monroe County, Mississippi. 
Cens-185026 Sep 1850  There they were enumerated in 1850. Lorenzo, 34, was employed as a carpenter. He owned land in Monroe County valued at $2,000. Sarah was 28. Also recorded was 10 year old Qudallas [?], 8 year old Virginia and 4 year old William (born in Mississippi).2 
  In 1851 Sarah gave birth in Mississippi to a daughter who was named Sarah Bibb Leedy. Sarah died in April 1851, probably not long after the baby's birth.1,3 
Cens-18602 Jun 1860  Sarah's sister, Martha Rison took the little girl back to Alabama and raised her in Huntsville with her own family.4,3 
Cens-186020 Aug 1860  Lorenzo remained in Monroe County, Mississippi with his two older children. There he was enumerated in 1860 working as an auctioneer. He owned land valued at $2,000 and personal property worth $6,000. M.A. Leedy, 30 [a second wife?] was also recorded, along with 17 year old Jennie and 13 year old William [what happened to Quadallas?]. In addition a 10 year old named Mollie Muse was part of the household.5 
DeathApr 1862 Lorenzo died in Apr 1862 in Aberdeen, Mississippi, at age 46.1
