Death9 Jun 1863 Thomas was killed at the Battle of Brandy Station on 9 Jun 1863 at age 18.1,5,6 
Mem Marker A marker was placed in his memory at Green Spring Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.1 
  Thomas's older brother James had died at the Battle of Chancellorsville 5 weeks earlier.
