Cens-18508 Oct 1850  Jacob and Elizabeth lived in the town of Abingdon in Washington County, Virginia, where Jacob served as the "keeper of the jail". The 1850 census enumeration recorded the couple with their 10 month old son McClelland. Also present was Sally Lynch (54), Elizabeth Lynch (8), the Rev. W.C.G. Cunningham (minister of the M.E. Church) and one prisoner: 23 year old William Anderson.1 
Death28 Nov 1850 Jacob died on 28 Nov 1850 at age 23.2 
Burial He was buried at Sinking Spring Cemetery in Washington County, Virginia.2
