b. circa 1822
Father(?) Davis1
Mother(?) Larimer1
Birthcirca 1822 John Larimer Davis was born circa 1822 in Virginia.2
Ward28 May 1838 On 28 May 1838 James Davis was named John's guardian by a Washington County, Virginia, court. Of interest is the fact that the wording did not state that John's father was deceased.3

Research Comment:

John Larimer Davis may be the same person as the John L. Davis who married Louisa I. Neel on 18 December, 1848 in Washington County. They also appear on the 1850 Washington County, census living adjacent to a William J. Davis (27) and a James Davis (54). Also in John and Lousia's household in 1850 was a 5 month old daughter whose name is not clear but appears to be Leah. Additional research on this family would be of interest. In particular it would be useful to establish which Washington County Davis family John's father belonged to.4,2
