Ward25 Feb 1856 On 25 Feb 1856, in Washington County, Virginia, Thomas was named the ward of Bracken Hawthorn who posted bond in the amount of $10,000. Thomas was described as the orphan of Isacc Larimer.1 
Ward28 May 1860 Four years later, on 28 May 1860 the Washington County court again named Bracken as Thomas's guardian. This time the bond was for $2,000 and the bond noted that Thomas was the orphan of Isaac and Martha Jane Larimer.2 
Cens-18609 Aug 1860  Thomas appears to have been living in the Hawthorne household at the time as he was enumerated with them later that summer when the 1860 census was taken.3 
1876  In 1876 Thomas received the $1 payment left to his father Isaac in the will of Isaac's father Robert Larimer.4 
  Thomas may have migrated to Iowa.5
