CensusJan 1809  A census for Madison County (then Mississippi territory) was taken in January 1809. Nathaniel was recorded as the head of a household consisting of a male over 21 and a female under 21. He was enumerated just a few households away from Samuel Davis.2 
Deathbefore 28 Jan 1834 Nathaniel died before 28 Jan 1834 at which time Nathaniel's father wrote a will naming John M. Davis as his grandson. A later will clarified that John was the son of Nathaniel and that Nathaniel was deceased.3,1
