Washington Co. > Land Plats > William McCall Land

The bulk of the large parcel (152 acres) was purchased by William McCall from William and Elizabeth Walker in 1823. William added a triangular section on the north side in 1837 (32 acres from William Byars). In 1852 William purchased the isolated tract on the west from James and Eliza Orr (65+ acres). The western portion of the large tract was added a few months before William's death when he entered into an agreement with James Horne to purchase 112 acres of the 218 acres Horne had acquired from the estate of Jane Reid.
