Birth-Saysay 1780 Barbara Logan was born say 1780. 
Legatee27 Dec 1818  Barbara may not have been married when her father James wrote his will in December, 1818. He left her a Negro girl named Phan and a horse and saddle. He also stipulated that she should have a share of the household and kitchen furniture to make her equal with her brothers John and Caleb. Barbara was to have the use of the room she was lodging in as long as she remained single.1 
Court Record20 Mar 1823  Five years later Barbara executed a deed whereby she transferred the Negro girl "Fan" to Samuel Logan "in consideration of the love and affection" she held for him as her son. The previous year she had also gifted Samuel (again named as her son) with a Negro named Quinton who had also been named in James Logan's will.2,3
