Marriage19 Oct 1845 She married John Brouhard on 19 Oct 1845 in Boone County, Indiana.5 
Cens-185015 Aug 1850  John and Teresa spent the first few years of their marriage in Boone County where they were enumerated farming in 1850. The household included two children: Barnet (2) and James, 1 month.6 
Cens-186018 Jul 1860  However in the early 1850s the young family moved further west, settling in New Albany Township, Story County, Iowa, where they spent the rest of their lives. By 1860 John owned land worth $2,000. Three daughters had joined the family and were enumerated that year as Nancy A. (8), Martha E. (5) and Rachel (2).7 
Cens-187020 Jul 1870  Ten years later the couple's land had increased in value to $5,000. Their family had also grown with the addition of two sons: Melton (9) and Henry (5).8 
Death28 Mar 1892 Teresa died on 28 Mar 1892 at age 66.4 
Burial She was buried at Colo Cemetery in Colo, Story County, Iowa.4
