Will of Patrick Ryburn
Dated 29 Sept. 1845 and recorded 27 Oct. 1845

I Patrick Ryburn of Washington County and State of Virginia do hereby make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is -

1st - Direct that my just debts and funeral expenses be paid.

2nd - after my debts and funeral expenses are paid, I give to wife Jean Ryburn all my estate both real and personal for and during her natural life.

3rd - At the death of my wife I give to my son William my land to him and his heirs forever by him paying the rent coming to my mother and to live with his mother during her natural life.

4th - My personal property I give to my four daughters, Eliza Jane, Katherine, Margaret, and Sarah to be divided equally between them.

5th - I give to my son John five dollars to paid out of my real estate.

And lastly, I do hereby constitute and appoint John Ryburn Exor of my last Will and Testament revoking all former wills by me made.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 29th day of September 1845.

At a court held for Washington County this 27th day of October 1845 the last Will and Testament of Patrick Ryburn deceased was exhibited in court and proved by the oath of William Graham and Robert Keys the subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded. And on the motion of John Ryburn the executor therein named who took the oath of an executor prescribed by law and entered into and acknowledged his bonds - the sum of five hundred dollars with Arthur Stewart, Joseph Stewart and John J. Cauldwell as his securities conditioned as the law directs. A certificate is therefore granted him for the obtaining letters testamentary on the estate of the said Patrick Ryburn deceased in due form.
