A.D. Hutton of Washington Co., Virginia

-executors to sell personal property at public sale except as herein devised, and apply proceeds to payment of just debts and funeral expenses including tombstone. I desire to be buried by the side of my wife in same kind of coffin and tombstone

- if anything remains after personal property is sold and debts paid, it is to be divided between my 6 living children: Amanda L., Martha A., Francis B., William E.J., James B. and Thos D. Hutton. If funds are insufficient to pay debts then each of the above named children to pay an equal part.

- my children shall in 3years after my death pay to Maggie E. Williams $50 each or
$300 in aggregate if she is living; if she dies not to be paid to her heirs.

- son William E.J. Hutton 60 acres of land surveyed by R.C. Allison on east side of my
home farm being part of the same together with a part of the dower of Mrs. A.O.
Crawford, adjoining the lands of R.S.C. Hutton on the east and south and the lands of
John Byars, dec’d, on the north and of my own land on the west with the privilege of a 12
foot road to be on my land on the line between my land and the lands of John Byars
dec’d, from the northwest corner of his 60 acres described above to 4 1/2 acres of wood
land on the northeast corner of my home place adjoining the lands of John Byars dec’d on
north and east and my own land on south and west. Road is for no other purpose than to
haul timber out. Said Wm E.J. Hutton is to have the timber now and in the future but is
to use the land for no other purpose and has no right or title to the land. He must put up
gates on the road from his land to the woods and keep them up.

- son Thomas D. 40 acres of land on the south side of the public road running through
my place east and west and adjoining to the 60 acres of land given to Wm E. J. Hutton
on the east and lands of R.S.C. Hutton, William Snodgrass and others on south and my
land on north and west.

- daughters Amanda L. and Martha A. (jointly): remainder of home tract of land; all household and kitchen furniture including sewing machine; also one cow and horse each; 1/3 of cash generated by any crops growing at Arthur’s death.

- sons James B. and Thos D. Hutton 1 of my best beds and bedsteads & furniture.

- Thos D. Hutton my medical books and instruments

- James B. the old Family Bible formerly belonging to his grandfather Beattie Ryburn

- son Wm E.J. Hutton my wheat drill and hay rake; also my arm chair

- son F.B. Hutton my old clock formerly the property of his Grandfather for whom he is in part named.

- to each of my grandchildren if they are living after my death a bible each to be bought
by my executor and paid for as one of my present debts.

- sons Francis B. Hutton and James B. Hutton (jointly) my Cove land lying in Crabtree
Cove, Smyth Co., Virginia adjoining John Hall & others
