George the Third __ To all __ Know ye that for divers good causes and considerations but more Especially for and in Consideration of the Sum of Fifteen shillings of good and lawful Money for our Use paid to our receiver General of our Revenues in this our Colony and Dominion of Virginia We have Given Granted and Confirmed and by those presents for us our Heirs and Successors Do Give Grant and Confirm Unto Nathaniel Davies one Certain Tract or parcel of Land Containing one hundred and fifteen Acres lying and being in the County of Augusta on Buffaloe Creek and bounded as followeth (to wit) Beginning at a white Oak on the West side of Buffaloe Creek and running South forty degrees East forty poles crossing the Creek to a white Oak South thirty five degrees West two hundred poles to a pine South West seventy four poles South sixty degrees West eighty poles to three white Oak saplins North forty seven degrees West thirty two poles crossing the Creek to two white Oak saplins on the West side of the Creek North forty two degrees East three hundred fifty six poles to the Beginning With all __ To have hold __ To be held __ Yielding and paying __ Provided __ In Witness __ Witness our Trusty and Well loved Francis Fauquier Esq our Lieut Governor and Commander in Chief of our said Colony and Dominion at Williamsburgh Under the Seal of our said Colony the Thirtieth day of August one thousand seven hundred and sixty three In the Third year of our Reign
