Andrew Edmondson……

1. to my wife Rosa Ann Edmondson all the land of the Maj. John Edmondson tract on which we now live during her natural life; also a tract of land on the south side of the south fork of the Holston on Ketchem’s Branch during her natural life; also household and kitchen furniture, threshing machine, wind mill, farming utensils and 6 horses; also 6 cows and calves and 6 head of other cattle, all of her own choosing; also my oxen and all my sheep and hogs; also boy Charles during her natural life; if he is disobedient she may hire him out; all bequests to my wife are for the benefit of my family

2. to son Samuel P. Edmondson the tract of land on which I now live after my wife’s death; also my interest in land on which my mother lately resided, and a black horse he claims as his

3. to daughter Elizabeth B. Blankenbeckler 130 acres of the upper farm embracing several tracts of land in the valley, to be laid off as she chooses – to keep the outside lines beginning at the Barrs and starting in an easterly direction and around until she gets her number of acres.

4. to my 2 grandchildren, Andrew E. Keys and Martha E. Keys each 1 horse, saddle and bridle when they arrive at their majority.

5. all my other lands not devised and the proceeds of the sale of all other property not devised to be equally divided between the following of my children: John B. Edmondson, Margaret A. F. Edmondson, Samuel P. Edmondson, Harriet C. Edmondson, Sarah F. Edmondson, Rosannah M. Edmondson, Andrew F. Edmondson and Martha J. Edmondson.
