[codicil]

I Robert Clark named as testator in the will to which this is annexed…

- in addition to the $1,000 willed to daughter Isabella Jane Meek I give her $200 more; amount willed to her to be paid immediately after my death

- in addition to the $160 willed to wife Catherine I give her $50 more; amount to be paid immediately after my death

- make the following changes in article 9 in regards to my landed estate (60 acres lately bought from Thomas Stringer excepted from this change and division) and divide it between my two sons William D. Clark and James B. Clark as follows [detailed metes and bounds description follows for each sons portion; land was on either side of road leading from Glade Spring to Saltville]. If James does not marry on his death his share of this land is to be equally divided between the two oldest sons of Wm D. Clark, viz Robert B. Clark and Joseph W. Clark. But “if my son James B. Clark marries some decent woman this land lying on the left hand of the foregoing described lines is to be at his own disposal”

- in making this change it is not to effect the 5th article in my will relative to my wife Catherine and furthermore, it is not to effect anything relative to her in my will

- the 61 acres that I lately bought from Thomas Stringer to my son William D. Clark.

- if my two sons William and James cannot agree on a division of the personal property left them by me then David B. Clark, James C. Porterfield and John _ [H?] Clark are to divide it for them

- appt son Wm Clark executor with no security required
