John Hutton of Washington County

To son Dickson Hutton all land and real estate, all horses except one mare called Juen, also all the hogs, sheep and cattle except one cow called the (flaked cow), all the farming utensils, all the fodder, hay and grain.

To son Dickson one chest of drawers, one bed with furniture and apparel

The residue of my estate shall be inventoried and appraised. If Dickson wishes to keep this appraised property he may do so and the amount of its value he is to pay within 18 months, to be equally divided among my 3 daughters Ellenor, Ann and Margaret and the children of my two deceased daughters Jane and Mary (one fifth equal part each).

John Hatton’s request in the disposal of his apparel:
To Leonard Hutton’s son John one great coat
To daughter Margaret Snodgrass one fine hat and pocket book
To daughter-in-law Jane Hatton two silk handkerchiefs
To my two granddaughters some linen cloth
Jane & Maty [?] the remainder of my apparel
I bequeath to my sons James Hatton & Dickson Hatton to be equally divided between themselves
I leave to the above names to wit my two granddaughters three yards of linen cloth
